A person has been arrested on allegations of making an attempt to kidnap 25 schoolchildren in Harare.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed that the learners, aged between 4 and eight years outdated have been picked up and pushed 103km on Harare-Mutare Street. He was caught after the automobile ran out of gasoline. Passersby who attended to the incident discovered the distressed kids.
Samuel Honde (60) is claimed to be a daily driver, who picks them from David Livingstone Major Faculty within the Avenues to Kuwadzana.
The motive behind the tried kidnapping is just not clear, as investigations proceed.
Nationwide spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident saying the suspect was arrested in Macheke on Thursday night time.
